| Hacker Mentality |
On 9/27/08 BookGoldMine.com was hacked. Luckily I caught it very quickly, it couldn't have been down for more than a half hour.
My only question is.... why? The sole purpose of this website is to provide free resources to students and those trying to enrich their lives. This website doesn't make me any money (the few Google ads on this site cover maybe 20% of the hosting costs), and I've spent hours developing the site and looking for good resources.
If you found a security weakness, why wouldn't you just tell me?
Anyway, to everyone else, the site is back up. Enjoy! |

I'd like to apoligize to everyone for not updating the site in so long. Because of the lack of updates, there is no way I can meet the goal of 1,000 - 1,500 books by summer. Unfortunately I was too busy working on other projects.
However, I have started updating again. I will also run a link checker to ensure that all of the links on this site are still valid. I think that hitting 500 books is a reasonable goal.

Also, at 151 books, we're now better than 10% of reaching our goal of 1,500 books by summer of 2007! |

Book Gold Mine aims to be your top source of quality FREE online resources - e-books, manuals, lecture notes, and tutorials. We hope to aggregate as many resources as possible, though we can't do it alone. As you come across materials that you found useful, please forward us a link so that you can share it with the rest of the world. Likewise, if you find a dead link on our site please let us know so that we can fix it.
